I only have one problem. This time I did. I treated myself to an entire array of sony equipment for my birthday and Christmas.I never buy anything for myself. Sony does not have a product that can connect all the equipment I have, therefore I have to disconnect one item and replace the input with my LP phonograph. Long over due. I purchased a flatscreen television, complete stero equipment, home entertainment center. I am still very happy. I can listen to my cd's, cassettes, albums, watch my dvds and so on.
Purchased this for my Mom who is 92 and takes a lot of cassette tapes out from the library. The unit is connected to a Cambridge soundworks i765 and she has no trouble using it. She needs simple to use and trouble free. Seems to fill that bill.
This is a decent looking unit for the price, but tape-to-tape record function did not work at all. I will NOT be replacing it with another of the same (fool me twice, shame on me). Also, the Operating Instructions are incredibly vague / amateurishly composed. Thank goodness for Amazon, who offered free return shipping and a full refund.

Solved all the problems for Mom.A happy story also of retailer helping retailer that benefited the customer. However, he jumped on his store computer, went to Amazon and bingo there was your player.
She has many favorite cassettes saved over many years. Her cassette player died several years ago.
My Mom Luzetta is 85 years old. A very kind Radio Shack associate had nothing for us either.
The rest of her component system was just perfect and she had mastered running it. So buying an entire new system was not an option.
With further help from the Radio Shack clerk, we hooked it up and she is back in business.The player is great. Thank you Amazon and Radio Shack.
